Introduction and scope
This website is run by Jennifer Miller’s campaign for Mayor of Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, in the November 3, 2026 municipal election. In this policy, “we,” “us,” “our,” and “the campaign” mean Jennifer Miller and her campaign for Mayor. “You” means anyone who visits this website or hears from the campaign.
This policy applies to information collected through this website, including its forms, and through campaign communications such as email, text messages, and phone calls. It does not apply to websites or services run by others, even when we link to them.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you volunteer, request a yard sign, offer to host a neighborhood coffee, sign up for updates, or send us a message, we ask only for what we need. Depending on the form, that may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your mobile phone number, if you choose to share it
- Your street address or street name in Cherry Hills Village (we need an address to deliver a yard sign; for a cell coverage report, a street or nearby intersection is enough)
- How you’d like to help, such as volunteering or hosting a neighborhood coffee
- Your comments, questions, or message, and the topic you choose
- For cell coverage reports, your carrier and whether the problem is indoors or outdoors
- Whether you’d like campaign updates by email or text
Information you share in other ways. If you email, call, or text the campaign, talk with us in person, or answer a resident feedback form we link to, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, contact information, and views on Village issues.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly every website, this site’s hosting providers automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website doesn’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session-recording tools, or social media trackers. Apart from Google Analytics, described below, our pages load their fonts and code from this site.
The site uses the following:
- Google Analytics cookies, described in the Analytics section below.
- A strictly necessary sign-in cookie for password-protected pages used by the campaign team. It expires within six hours and isn’t used for tracking.
- A setting saved in your browser’s session storage when you close the election-reminder banner, so the banner stays closed while you browse. It stays on your device, isn’t sent to us, and is cleared when you close the browser tab or window.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information like your device, browser, approximate location, and pages visited. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out by using Google’s opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Resident Survey
Every question in our Resident Survey is optional, including your name and contact details.
- If you include contact details with your answers, your answers and contact details go to the campaign’s contact-management system (GoHighLevel).
- If you answer anonymously, without a name, email, or phone number, your answers are stored by the campaign’s website host (Cloudflare) for up to 180 days and then deleted.
We use survey answers only to understand residents’ views on Village issues.
How we use information
- To answer your questions, messages, and requests
- To coordinate volunteers, yard sign requests and delivery, neighborhood coffees, and other campaign activities you ask about
- To send campaign updates by email or text, only if you’ve asked to receive them
- To understand the issues and concerns that matter most to Cherry Hills Village residents, including through resident feedback such as cell coverage reports
- To keep this website secure and working properly
- To comply with the law, including Colorado election and campaign finance laws
Sending us a question doesn’t sign you up for anything. We send campaign updates only when you check the box asking for them.
Text messages (SMS)
We’ll text you only if you give us your mobile number and check the box agreeing to receive campaign texts. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of volunteering, requesting a yard sign, contacting Jennifer, or anything else.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We won’t sell or share your mobile number or your agreement to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing.
Email communications
If you ask for email updates, every campaign email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time and ask to be removed.
Even after you unsubscribe, we may still reply to a message you send us.
Campaign finance and public records
Jennifer is paying for her own campaign and doesn’t accept money from anyone else. This website never asks you for money, and we never collect credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment information.
Any campaign finance reports the campaign files, as Colorado law and City of Cherry Hills Village rules require, are public records.
Like other Colorado candidates, we may use publicly available information, such as voter registration records, to reach Cherry Hills Village voters. We use public records only as permitted by Colorado law.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the campaign, for a reasonable period after the election, and to meet any legal recordkeeping requirements. After that, we delete it.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Data security and breach notification
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you share, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, limiting access to the people who need it, and working with established service providers. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive details like Social Security or financial account numbers through our forms.
If a security breach involving your personal information ever occurs, we’ll notify the people affected, consistent with Colorado’s data breach notification law (C.R.S. § 6-1-716).
Your choices and rights
Colorado has a consumer privacy law, the Colorado Privacy Act (C.R.S. § 6-1-1301 and following), which applies to organizations that meet certain thresholds. Whatever the law requires, we want you to stay in control of your information. You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we have about you
- Correct information that’s wrong or out of date
- Delete your information
- Stop sending you emails, texts, or other campaign messages
To make a request, email us at jennifermillerformayor@gmail.com or call (720) 900-4451. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, and generally within 45 days.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. This website doesn’t track visitors across other websites, and we don’t sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is no tracking, sale, or targeted advertising for these signals to turn off. The site works the same way whether or not your browser sends them.
Children’s privacy
This website is meant for adults in our community and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Third-party links and services
Our site links to websites and services we don’t control. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them. Linking to them doesn’t imply endorsement.
- Google Forms. We use a Google Form for some resident feedback, such as the “Report a Dead Zone” form linked from our Cell Service page and from QR codes on some printed campaign materials. Your responses come to the campaign through Google’s service, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to how Google handles them.
- Arapahoe County and the State of Colorado. We link to Arapahoe Votes, including its BallotTrax ballot-tracking service, and to GoVoteColorado.gov and the Colorado Secretary of State’s websites for official voting information.
- City of Cherry Hills Village. We link to the City’s website for official city and election information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
